Keina Davis

I just happened upon the art of Keina Davis. Instantly I felt connected to the images, the colors, and the messages of her work. She describes her viewpoint as one of urban folklore and she captures that feeling and connects it with the importance of cultural memory that makes African American culture so vivid and strong. I am on a journey, a journey through life. My spirit often gets weak and my mind gets tired, but the artistic vision of Davis's spiritual and essential moments of experience command my spirit to rise to attention and to face the world.
